What are these words you speak
Why are they all unknown to me
You see yourself sitting naked on the sand
A dream and a memory in each hand
You mirror a mirage moving alone
You call out but it is gone
The road that brought you to me is dragging you back
The light you thought was near is fading to black
For those you burnt and those you forgave
Too late you’ve learnt you’re only a slave
The wind carries voices but there’s nobody there
The bush is burning but the mountain is bare
