There was so much I wanted to ask
So much I wanted to say
But somehow I knew there wasn’t time
And even if I could stay
Somehow, it was all
Beside the point anyway
I walk into the light
Staring blind wrong from right
Sweating palms clutch a shadows hand
I only survive because I dont understand
The wind carries voices but theres nobody there
The bush is burning but the mountain is bare
I see myself sitting naked on the sand
A promise and a prophesy in each hand
I mirror a mirage moving alone
I call out but it is gone
A ripple of gasps from behind a curtain
I part them only to enter oblivion
