What do you think you will do for the next 40 years
when your face looks like a cobweb and you’ve dried up your tears
When no one gives you a second look and you sit staring at the phone
When growing up means you were wrong about everything you’ve known
You throw away your toys and mask all your joys
You cloak your fears with hollow cheers
You sit in a home trying to forget all you’ve known
Watching the idiot box, the clown and the fox
Stalking your ghost, counting your stocks and gold
Count the lies that you bought, dreams that you sold
